St. Mary's Church Minibus

Our Minibus was purchased in December 2003 with money bequeathed to us by Elizabeth Hills and has proved to be a wonderful asset, as we are large parish with many parishioners unable to attend services or functions without the aid of transport.

The minibus parked outside the church lychgate.

It is used regularly on Sunday and Wednesday mornings to transport people to our regular services and the Drop In at St Mary's Community Centre every Monday afternoon. Many other events which take place in and around our parish also benefit greatly by its availability.

The bus has also been used on a regular basis by the people of St. Mary, Willesborough transporting them to a great variety of events. The folk of Park View Care Centre are also taken out once a month for a ride and a cup of tea.

A very popular use for the bus is our Sunday afternoon trips which take place once a month between April and September. These take the form of a nice ride out and a cream tea at a suitable location.

The use of the Minibus is only made possible because of a splendid group of people who volunteer to be drivers or helpers and it is a privilege to be part of that team.

The affairs connected with the vehicle are handled by a small committee, namely Frank Acott (Chairman), Shirley Acott, Mike Paddy and myself. If you would like any information concerning the use of the vehicle please do speak to any member of the team.
