Case study: East Kent Chorus
Here's some news about one of the groups hiring a hall from St. Mary's Kennington.
Ashford Barbershop Harmony Club (performing as the East Kent Chorus) is the result of a 'Learn to Sing' course sponsored by the British Association of Barbershop Singers. Members of the twenty-strong male voice chorus bring a range of experience to the ensemble. Although the ability to read music is an advantage it is not essential. Fun and harmonious singing are guaranteed!
The barbershop group rehearses on Thursdays - 7.30pm to 10.00pm - normally at Highworth School, relocating to St. Mary's Community Centre during school holidays and half terms.
If you are interested contact Musical Director David Holloway on 01424 813298 (david@team-services.demon.co.uk) or the Secretary, Barry Andrews on 01233 632317 (bj.andrews@btinternet.com) for more information.
