Children and Families

“Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”

Matthew 19:14

We don’t believe children are the church of the future – they are as much a part of the church of the present as anyone.

We have a variety of activities that we hope will help children have fun and grow in their understanding of God as they do so.

Sunday Services

Children of all ages are welcome to our Sunday services. There is no noise their child could make that would disrupt the service.

We have baby changing facilities at both venues and you are welcome to warm bottles up if needed.  There are toys available for babies and toddlers to play with so that they don’t get bored.  It is also not uncommon for a toddler to wander up the aisle of the church or explore the Lady Chapel, so please do not feel uncomfortable if your child wants to ‘stretch their legs’.

Fun Club is available for children from 2 upwards.

So, whatever the age of your child, please bring them along. They are most welcome as are you.

Sunday Fun Club

Sunday Fun Club is an exciting time for children involving songs, stories, art, craft, games and discussion. It meets every week at the church, except  when it is Family Service.

There are two groups; 11 and over,  and under 11’s, the children learn about being a christian in an age appropriate manner.

We begin the service together, the children leave for their Fun Club activities in the Hall after we share the Peace. We all return so that we can join with families in having Holy Communion together where the children receive a blessing and a grape (or two)!
